Rise and shine, it’s 7 a.m. and another day at East Coast Cannabis in Lebanon, ME is about to start. Nestled in this picturesque town is our humble recreational and medical cannabis dispensary—a place where many employees, myself included, not only call work but home.
A Journey through Nature’s Pharmacy
My shift begins at 9 a.m., but I usually arrive a bit earlier to take in the serenity and greenery that surrounds this place. Once I step inside our facility, things change from calm and serene to bustling and energetic in an instant. We’re not just handling cannabis; we’re dealing with an assortment of compounds that Mother Nature has blessed us with.
Unloading the new deliveries can be challenging, yet the experience is definitely unique. We cater to people with various needs, so our inventory covers a wide range of strains and products – from medicinal CBD oils to recreational cannabis buds. We understand the importance of quality and ensure that all our products meet the standard regulations in place.
Individual Experiences and Shared Knowledge
After the physical hustle, I look forward to the customers. Helping them find the right strain or product that meets their needs is a rewarding part of my job. There’s always an opportunity to learn something new from each client’s experience which further broadens my knowledge on cannabis effects and the healing benefits it provides.

Learning Never Stops
The last part of my day usually involves an educational session. This could be a talk given by an expert in the field or a peer exchange among my colleagues where we share insights and learnings to help improve our offerings and service.

Between the exciting pace, the healing nature of our products, and the connection we build with our customers, it’s safe to say that there’s no other job quite like it. As I close out my day and make my way back home, I carry with me the contentment of another fulfilling day and anticipation for tomorrow’s unique adventures.
